Fees

Although Eugene Public Library does not charge overdue fines, in some circumstances fees may be charged to an account. Questions about your account? Please call us so we can assist you: 541-682-5450.

Manage your account to avoid fees

  • Do not share your library card or number with others.
  • Check your account regularly and return items by the due date. This helps the library run smoothly and allows others to enjoy the items.
  • Set your account to send reminders of upcoming due dates by email or text.
  • When you return DVDs, CDs, kits and other multi-part items: double-check to make sure all pieces are included.

Incomplete, lost, and damaged items

  • If an item is returned missing one or more pieces, we will contact you to let you know. We can’t check in the item until all pieces are returned.
  • If an item is not returned or is still missing pieces by 30 days past the due date, or is too damaged for others to use, we send a bill for the cost to replace it.
  • We cannot accept a new copy of an incomplete, lost or damaged item instead of billing for the cost to replace it.
  • Charges can be paid online, in person or by phone.
