Bus Pass Program
How do you get to work every day? Riding the bus can eliminate the hassles of driving (including the cost of parking downtown) and can give you the freedom to relax for a moment before the workday begins.
Ride LTD Free
All regular City employees can ride the LTD bus for free! Eligible employees are sent a yearly email with their personal bus pass code. Add your code to the LTD Umo Mobility app to get started riding. Check out LTD's Umo Mobility FAQs for handy tips. For route planning assistance contact Shane Rhodes, City of Eugene Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator and contact the Benefits Staff if you are a new employee and have not received your bus pass code or for other questions.
Park and Ride
Drive your car, park it, and ride the bus or bike the rest of the way. LTD Park & Ride lots allow commuters to easily and conveniently connect with transit or their carpool or vanpool. Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is permitted only during hours of operation and no overnight parking allowed.
To find a Park & Ride near your home or office check out this map. For more information about Park & Ride lots call LTD Customer Service at 541-687-5555. For route planning assistance contact Shane Rhodes, City of Eugene Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator.
Transportation Reimbursement Account (TRA)
Enrolling in a TRA allows you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for certain parking and transportation expenses that you would normally pay for with after-tax dollars. This can mean a significant tax savings on qualified expenses. Learn more about Transportation Reimbursement Accounts
If you plan to park at a City parking lot you may prefer to sign up for pre-tax payroll deductions that wouldn't require you to submit a claim form for reimbursement. In that case do not enroll in a TRA. Information on parking at City parking lots is available at Commuter Parking Permits.
Other Options and Discounts
All City employees are eligible for Vanpool, administered by Lane Transit District through GetThereOregon.org. A vanpool is a group of 5 to 15 people who regularly travel to work together (at least 20 miles or more roundtrip) in a comfortable van. Typically, riders pay a monthly fare, while drivers may ride at a discounted rate in exchange for driving and maintaining the van. To join an existing vanpool visit the Valley Vanpool website for a list of vanpools and contact the driver.
Register at GetThereOregon.org to join a carpool. With Get There, you will be put in touch with friends, neighbors, and co-workers who share a similar commute schedule and route as you. View these simple instructions on finding, joining , and creating new carpools.
Carpool/Rideshare Parking Discounts
If you drive to work, consider taking along one or two coworkers to be eligible to receive free or discounted parking at many of the City owned lots and parking structures. Navigate to the Permit Portal to sign up today!
ZipCar offers convenient access to a car, without the expense and hassle of owning one. No financing or insurance issues and gasoline is included. Pick up a care at 1180 Willamette St. (13th & Olive Apartments) or 1511 Moss St. (Global Scholars Hall).
Electric Vehicle Charging
City employees using the City's commuter parking pass program can select parking garages with electric vehicle (EV) charging station access included (Parcade, Broadway South, or Overpark). Charging stations in garages don't require payment beyond the cost of parking. Charging stations do have a three hour time limit so plan to move your car once charging is complete.
A number of financial incentives are available to EV purchasers, continuing to reduce the total cost of vehicle ownership. See incentives and rebates here.

Incidental fees include any time over the free 60 minutes/day ($.10/minute), parking outside of the PeaceHealth Rides zone ($25), or parking outside a PeaceHealth Rides station ($1). Check with your supervisor as you might be able to use petty cash to be reimbursed for certain work trips that accrue over-time expenses.

Emergency Ride Home Program
