National Dance Week

All abilities welcome. FREE!

This vibrant celebration for dance lovers of all ages will open with Downtown Dances in the Round, an evening of performances from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 22 in the Park Blocks. Throughout the following weekdays, enjoy FREE workshops & performances in the Park Blocks & Kesey Square, FREE film screenings at the Broadway Metro and much more! New virtual content will be released throughout the week  on our socials Facebook/CulturalServices and

Kickoff Event! Downtown Dances in the Round

Grand Finale! Friday Fiesta

5th Street Market Alley

Experience Latino music and dance with Friday Fiesta from Bailamos Latin Dance Network, a collective of dancers, instructors and DJs who are creating communities to promote and support Latin dance culture. Put on your dancing shoes and join the fiesta with your favorite salsa, bachata and other Latin hits!

Start your day with Tai Chi with James! Using an informal Yang style Tai Chi, we will learn to move with awareness. The forms in themselves help us develop ease of movement with balance.

Healthy Moves brings Movement for All! Join Denise Thomas, Marc Siegel and Ben Wilkinson. They will give you a bit of funky groove, cool dance combos, and body conditioning for kids and adults. Wrap it all up with Yoga! Come on and Let's Move!

History of National Dance Week: National Dance Week was formed in 1981 when a group of dance-related organizations began a strong grassroots movement to bring greater recognition to dance in the United States. National Dance Week celebrations occur throughout the nation.
