KJ Pfeiffer

KJ Pfeiffer - Program Supervisor & Facility Manager

Kristen “KJ” Pfeiffer, MSW (she/her) came to the City of Eugene in 2019 all the way from the Northeast with a few stops in between. Kristen has a background in macro social work, and over 25 years of working with youth and families in various capacities. Kristen is personally and professionally driven by the values of the social work profession and being a part of something meaningful, which is fundamental to the human experience. In her free time, Kristen takes full advantage of what Oregon has to offer, hiking, kayaking, backpacking, and camping- she loves it all! She also enjoys creating her own food tours and contests to discover the best and unique eats - another way of getting to know our state (yum!). “I am thrilled to be a part of the team and community, here at Sheldon.” ~photo of KJ and Artemis (not her dog) on the Fern Ridge Trail.

Joanne Whitfield

Joanne Whitfield - Office Coordinator

Joanne started working for Eugene Rec in 2017. From Joanne’s perch at the front counter she gets a front-row seat to all the comings and goings of Sheldon. Greeting patrons by name and seeing them excited about their activity is great but getting a morning high five from our youngest patrons is even better! Away from her perch, you will find Joanne camping, paddling, gardening and exploring the back roads of Oregon. Email Joanne
